Statewide Interoperability Executive Committee

The Illinois Statewide Interoperability Executive Committee (SIEC) is comprised of representatives from state agencies and first responder organizations The purpose of the SIEC is to improve public safety communications interoperability in the State of Illinois by managing all public safety interoperable communications within the State of Illinois pursuant to the authority given by ILCS 2615/10 (Public Safety Radio Interoperability).

SIEC Approved Documents

The Illinois Statewide Interoperability Template (SWIT) is a standardized radio template to facilitate effective interagency communications across Illinois. Approved by the SIEC. The SWIT should be programed in to radios by December 31, 2025

Meetings occur on the Third Thursday of the month, @ 10 AM. Meetings are held at the IDOT Hanley Building, Station 1 Conference Room, 2300 S. Dirksen Parkway, Springfield.
