This statute creates the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and authorizes the emergency management programs within the political subdivisions of the State.
[45 ILCS 151/]
This statute ratifies and approves the Emergency Management Assistance Compact which provides for mutual assistance between member states in managing any emergency or disaster that is duly declared by the governor of the affected state. The Compact also provides for mutual cooperation in emergency-related exercises, testing, or other training.

This statute provides requirements for higher education institutions to develop an all hazards emergency response plan and to develop campus violence prevention plan.

This statute provides an orderly and continuing means of assistance by the Federal Government to state and local governments in carrying out their responsibilities to alleviate the suffering and damage resulting from disasters. It authorizes disaster relief programs and provides for greater coordination and responsiveness of disaster preparedness and relief programs.
