2024 Illinois NIMS Compliance Survey
Illinois jurisdictions are encouraged to adopt the National Incident Management System (NIMS) as their standard for incident management through the adoption of a formal resolution implementing NIMS.
Jurisdictions are encouraged to report continued compliance every 2 years (even years) through the completion of the NIMS Compliance Survey and submit the form to Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security (IEMA-OHS).
The 2024 NIMS Compliance Survey can be accessed by clicking on the link below. Please complete and submit the survey to IEMA-OHS by December 31, 2024.
Directions for Completing and Submitting the Survey:

- Complete the form by answering all the questions applicable to your jurisdiction.
- Email a PDF copy of your completed survey to: ema.NIMS@illinois.gov
- Maintain a copy for your agency’s future reference.
